DNA is by far the most accurate, reliable and less traumatic method to determine the gender of your birds. Now the CARICOM can have birds sex right at home with Cari-gene DNA diagnostics. We can sex most birds species including parrot types (conures, cockatoos, parakeets, lovebirds, etc), finches and many more.
Bird Sexing (Available NOW!)
Our avian gender determination is a DNA based method that greater than 99% accurate for most bird species. DNA extracted from the portion of the feather shaft (the part below the skin) contains cells with enough DNA that when subjected to a process called PCR and the results analysed by our experienced team using electrophoresis, photography and computer analysis. The process allows us to distinguish between hens and cocks.

Avian Identity & Parentage (Coming Soon)
Much like human identity testing, avian identity will protect you and your birds from fraud or theft and establish ownership. We will provide you with a unique identifier based on your birds genetic makeup (No two birds will have the same identifier). Our parentage testing is being designed to prevent breeding of closely related birds (brother and sister for example). With birds being bought and sold, exchanged and traded it can be difficult to keep track of it's heritage. Our tests will give you peace of mind and keep inbreeding mutations at bay.
